A retail tour of LondonDigital Manager
On 28th September, Innesco hosted a retail tour of London for Koncept Stockholm, the architects behind the unique retail destination MOOD Stockholm. Located in the financial district of Stockholm city centre, the scheme developed by AMF Fastigheter has received a lot of interest on the international stage as a result of its groundbreaking and visionary approach, delivering something “beyond shopping.”
From traditional luxury on Regent Street to pop-up concept stores at Box Park, Koncept Stockholm saw all the retail sights London has to offer.
The day started with a tour around BoxPark in Shoreditch, the world’s first pop-up mall, and continued with a visit to world renowned artist Jason Bruge’s studio to review his successful design projects, including the world’s first digital water fountain at Westfield Stratford City and the Coca-Cola Beat Box at the Olympic Park.
After lunch at Shoreditch’s Pizza East, we visited the new Burberry flagship on Regent Street where we were given a demonstration of its digitally enhanced changing rooms. Seeing how Burberry has taken advantage of the newest technology and incorporated it into the retail environment was very interesting and my prediction is that this is something we’re going to see a lot more of during the next few years.
The day finished at Swedish ambassador Nicola Clase’s private residence where we enjoyed drinks and canapés.
