How to dress like The French KooplesDigital Editor
After a string of UK fashion brands proving popular in America, it’s France’s turn to teach the Americans a lesson in style! Inspiring French premium fashion brand The Kooples is continuing its international expansion with the opening of new stores in the US.
Available only in American department stores up until now, The Kooples opened its first North American store in San Francisco in June, followed by a 3,122 sqf (290sqm) store in Los Angeles in July and is set to open two stores in New York in August and October this year. The stores are stocking both The Kooples and The Kooples Sport collections.
The brand, founded in 2008, by the Elicha brothers, whose parents established successful brand Comptoir des Cotonniers, is targeting trendy and wealthy customers and offer clothes for couples, hence the brand’s name.
The latest addition of new stores in the US is part of a global expansion plan of the brand, which also includes European capitals such as Berlin and Madrid.
The Kooples currently has 350 point of sales in the world, with stores in 13 countries.
No doubt The Kooples brand will do well in the US. Much more than clothes, the brand is selling French style. This is the power of French brands abroad, such as Maje or Sandro, they sell Paris, capital of fashion and offer customers the chance to add a bit of ‘Parisian chic’ to their wardrobe, wherever they are.
Seeing how successful French bakeries are in the US, it will take no time for American couples to embrace The kooples’ ‘neo-dandy’ style.
