MAPIC

Looking to raise its profile in the UK, Reed MIDEM appointed Innesco in 2018 in recognition of its unrivalled retail experience and relationships with top-level journalists. Reed MIDEM was at this point in a highly expansive phase as it was about to launch two brand new events – MAPIC Food & Beverage (later rebranded as The Happetite) catering to the growing F&B segment and LeisurUp focussing on leisure and entertainment in retail destinations – as well as strengthening MAPIC’s appeal to the UK market with the launch of a dedicated UK pavilion.

Innesco was subsequently reappointed in 2019 and 2020.

By engaging a network of journalists and influencers, Innesco has managed to achieve regular coverage for MAPIC, The Happetite and LeisurUp in retail, property and specialist trade press, articulating the evolution and changing nature of the events – such as MAPIC’s shift to an all-digital event during the 2020 pandemic – as well as raising awareness of the tangible benefits to attending.

On the social media side, Innesco managed to secure a significant rise in the number of followers and engagement rate, meeting or exceeding all of its KPIs. For example, in the first four months alone, over 900 new followers were gained across Twitter and LinkedIn, reaching a total of 65 identified retail influencers and an average engagement rate of 2.6%.
