OSU Bispevika, Oslo

The Brief.

Oslo S Utvikling (OSU) is the main developer behind Oslo’s Bjørvika, Europe’s largest waterfront project. OSU is responsible for delivering 320,000 sqm of retail, offices and residential.

Innesco was appointed in September 2017 to launch its latest project, Bispevika, to the market at MAPIC 2017 – a scope that was subsequently extended to include handling all international PR and social media on an ongoing basis with the primary goal of raising awareness of the project and positioning Bispevika as the new hotspot in Europe to support leasing on an international scale.

 

Our Work.

Taking a broad, strategic approach, Innesco was involved in everything from strategic workshops to establish a master narrative, name and brand the development, through to developing leasing and sales prospectuses, a website and orchestrating the launch to include a series of media briefings at MAPIC.

Following the successful launch, Innesco continued its work to firmly establish the Bispevika name in international real estate and retail press targeting the investment market. Innesco targeted these international investors by highlighting the potential and appeal of the project and the wider Oslo market using performance data, third party commentary and strong imagery.

 

The Results.

Innesco successfully raised the profile of Bispevika in the international press, achieving first-class coverage in international property and retail press, which subsequently attracted the attention and interest of not only international investors, but also high-profile brands such as Norway’s only Michelin 3-Star restaurant Maaemo, which signed a deal to move its restaurant to Bispevika in September 2018.

Innesco’s global strategy strategy proved successful as the project was ultimately acquired by US fund Madison International Realty (undisclosed sum) less than 15 months after its launch.
