Trinity Quarter, Copenhagen
In 2019 Innesco was appointed to work on a new city centre development project by Hines in the Nordics – The Trinity Quarter, a hotel, retail and residential project in the heart of Copenhagen. Located on pedestrian shopping street Købmagergade, just off the city’s main high street Strøget and adjacent to the Round Tower, one of Copenhagen’s main tourist attractions, the project consists of a set of historic, mid-18th century buildings being transformed into a 21,000 sq m hub of retail, boutique apartments and a 240+ room hotel by 25Hours. Innesco was selected to create a brand for scheme, which involved naming it as well as creating a visual identity and logo.
The Trinity Quarter identity and logo drew inspiration from the architecture and fittings of the original Købmagergade buildings; the characteristic original window panes were picked up in the round design of the logo, which transforms into a ‘Q’ for Quarter. The muted set of colours was thoughtfully chosen together with the architects to reflect traditional pigments found in the interiors of many of the surrounding buildings discovered in the renovations, and gives the identity an at once unique and natural look and feel. Innesco was also responsible for the delivery of the website.
