Westfield proves it is best of the bunch at BCSC Purple Apple AwardsDigital Editor
Westfield showcased its extraordinary marketing and PR credentials to the shopping centre industry at last nights glamorous awards.
The event celebrated the best in PR and marketing across the shopping centre industry and had all the glitz and glamour expected from a marketing event with bright colourful dresses and free flowing champagne not forgetting the purple coloured chocolate fountain! Austin Healy was a fantastic host and entertained the full house at the Brewery.
Westfield took centre stage as it picked up 6 fantastic awards, 1 purple apple and 5 merits proving that they really are at the top of their game. It was great to see Myf Ryan yo-yoing from her table to the stage to collect the purple awards. Two of the awards Westfield received were the Strategic/Overall marketing campaign of the year and best PR campaign, both for the launch of Westfield Stratford City, which we have been involved heavily with since 2009.
Having worked on Westfield Stratford City myself for two and half years (7 months of which, over the launch of the centre, I was seconded to Westfield) there is a great sense of pride for me and Innesco for the role we played in the wider Westfield team throughout this period.
The last three years has seen many long hours but more importantly many laughs with the Westfield team. It has been a fantastic experience for all of us at Innesco and Westfield is a fantastic client to work for. We look forward to next year’s awards with anticipation!
