What to expect from MIPIM 2022

MIPIM – the global property showcase – is taking place in Cannes for the first time since 2019 beginning March 15th.  As the real estate sector is finally recovering from the pandemic, there is a strong demand and pressure for exhibitors to impress.

So – what is MIPIM?

Established in 1990, MIPIM is a four-day real estate networking event that gathers the most influential people across all sectors of the international real estate industry.

The conference takes place at the Palais des Festivals in Cannes from March 15 – 18.  During these four days, developers and public sector officials from across the world will showcase their projects and what they can offer to potential investors and partners.

MIPIM is all about making contacts.  This year there are more than 20,000 people registered to attend the event.  The networking opportunities are limitless.

The main focus of attendees this year will be how the real estate world can create, transform and repurpose the spaces we work and play in the wake of the pandemic.  Because the conference was unable to take place for the past two years, there is an exciting buzz of anticipation going into the event.

The past two years have forced us to alter the way we think about how and where we work, live and do business.  Technology, and the building of smart cities, will be talked about in many speeches and presentations.

While technology and innovation will be at the forefront of conversation, MIPIM covers all sectors of real estate from offices and residential, to leisure, housing and retail.

Organisers of the event estimate representation from about 100 countries in attendance of the four-day conference.  A significant percentage of participants are CEOs of their companies.  This means attendees are able to do business and network in person with influential players from all international property sectors.

Innesco is proud to be sending a team to MIPIM who will represent Pavilion Opportunity Egypt, Mountain View, Benoy + Pragma, Eurofund Group and Happiness by Design.
