World Travel and Tourism Summit heads to Saudi in November

Saudi Arabia is set to host the 22nd World Travel and Tourism Council Global Summit from 29 November to 2 December this year in Riyadh, marking Saudi Arabia’s rising emergence on the world retail, travel and tourism stage – something we’ve been following closely at Innesco.

The WTTC’s annual Global Summit is the most influential Travel & Tourism event on the international calendar.  The latest Economic Impact Report released by WTTC revealed that the global travel and tourism sector is expected to create around 126 million new jobs within the next ten years.

This year’s focus is the reopening of destinations and borders in the wake of the pandemic and the crucial sustaining of those whose livelihoods depend on travel and tourism.  For over 30 years, WTTC has conducted research on the economic impact of Travel & Tourism in 185 countries and issues such as overcrowding, taxation, policy-making, and many others to raise awareness of the importance of the Travel & Tourism sector as one of the world’s largest economic sectors. The real estate sector also has a huge role to play.

As a non-profit membership-based organisation, WTTC members and partners are the core of the organisation and include over 200 CEOs, Chairpersons, and Presidents of the world’s leading Travel & Tourism companies from all geographies and industries.
